In 2001 I started to use Paint Shop Pro to generate artwork. I did this more out of necessity than desire. I simply did not have the physical space available for my art table and everything associated with it. I don't get the same enjoyment using computer software - I miss the smell of the paint, the chugging of my airbrush compressor, the frustration of making a mistake and the satisfaction of putting it right. in these computer generated images using Paint Shop Pro software, I try to sick to the same techniques as I would if I was painting for real and avoid the huge array of tools that may be available, preferring to keep to airbrush, brush and pen tools. I simply get more satisfaction from doing so. Using PSP has proved to be much quicker, taking roughly half the time it would normally take.

Cloudburst Flight

A picture that has been at the back of my mind for a long time. Sparked by the Tangerine Dream track of the same name, from their album, 'Force Majeure'. Copyright - 2001.

Citadel

Taken from the Dragonlance Trilogy by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. I've always thought castles should have conical towers - stronger and can be built higher. An idea I played with long ago in Icesteps. Copyright - 2001.
