Checkmate?

This started out purely as an exercise to get my hand moving again as I hadn't sketched for a long time. It quickly developed into this where I added the glasses and pipe to give the dragons a bit of character.

Although the pose of each dragon was decided upon very early on in the sketch, the expressions weren't until close to the end. The wings and scales were completed first with the detail around the dragons' heads completing the picture.
