Citadel

Taken from the Dragonlance Trilogy by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. I've always thought castles should have conical towers - stronger and can be built higher. An idea I played with long ago in Icesteps. Copyright - 2001.

Computer coloured using Paint Shop Pro 7. 1500 pixels x 2151 pixels.

My first completely computerised image. Paint Shop Pro 7 was used to colour the image, with only the paintbrush and airbrush software tools used. Each section was completed in its own layer then the image 'merged' and save in JPEG format.

The Dragonlance books are amongst my favourite fantasy books and it was a pleasure doing this image.
