One For The Vine

As I revisit my early work as part of revamping the Dragon Flight website, I cannot help but think how appallingly amateurish some of my work was in those days. This one is a case in point.

This is an amalgam of elements from a number of sources, executed very badly.  The tower is a poor man's imitation of the tower on the cover of the Magnum album, 'Chase The Dragon' - a Rodney Mathews work. I've no idea why there's that conical shape in the foreground!

What it does demonstrate is how far I had to go in terms of developing any recognisable technique, compositional skill or artistic style.
