It's amazing how fixed people's perceptions can be. One of the great things about fantasy art is you can draw what the heck you like - after all, it is fantasy! Yet I find it somewhat bizarre that the only criticism of this work I've ever had is... "dragons should have four limbs". Aren't wings limbs? So don't you mean six?

Anyway, as I've never had the pleasure of meeting a dragon, I have to use my imagination. Funny thing that, for a fantasy artist!

This was done whilst on holiday in Wales where the landscape is littered with ruin castles. If you are at all interested in fantasy art and are looking for inspiration then I'd recommend spending some vacation time there. OK, I've done my bit for the Welsh Tourist Board.
